Mark Tompkins at the Procrastination Marathon (in other terms)

Interview by Sílvia Pinto Coelho (2020)

Along the Lines lecture/performance, Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, October 2018

As a way to understand the ground from which we come, and to unearth some of the elements and connections that lie under the surface of our practice, we created maps. These were done lightly and playfully, were fun to create, and don’t aim to be complete. They are a way to share, an exchange.

If you wish, we encourage you to create your own maps of your history and practices. Through visualizing them anew, perhaps in surprising ways, you might also rediscover forgotten or overlooked details.

We mapped Independent Dance Artist and Our Humanness in order to unravel and shed light on the deeper meanings and essential aspects of both, and the interface between them.
